This workshop is for you!
​You can take this class with all of the above goals! I will take you through every step of the process, including choosing and preparing your skin, wrapping and tying the rings, mounting the head, tightening, shaving and tuning the drum! We will also cover maintaining and preserving the wood as well as making repairs, correcting cracks, improvements to the bottom and bearing edge. This includes installing a rubber protective foot on the drum!

By the end of this class you will be able to perform all aspects of djembe repair, maintenance and upgrade!
You can bring your own shell or choose from top-grade shells I provide. You will end up with the drum of your dreams and the know how to do it yourself, saving you hundreds of dollars over the life of your drum.

Cost is only $250 if you are bringing your own djembe shell and only $450 if you choose one of the shells I provide. Choose your shell when you register.
