Build Your Own Dream Djembe

Have you been wanting a top notch djembe for yourself?   Been wanting to learn how to maintain and re-head your drum?  Or maybe you want to bring your ho-hum drum to eye popping and ear cracking?

Want to make yourself a drum that would go for $650+ but save yourself a  couple hundred dollars while gaining all the skills and knowledge to care for it over its lifetime?

 This workshop is for you!

​You can take this class with all of the above goals!  I will take you through every step of the process, including choosing and preparing your skin, wrapping and tying the rings, mounting the head, tightening, shaving and tuning the drum!  We will also cover maintaining and preserving the wood as well as making repairs, correcting cracks, improvements to the bottom and bearing edge.  This includes installing a rubber protective foot on the drum!

Fall in love with your drum again or create the drum of your dreams!

By the end of this class you will be able to perform all aspects of djembe repair, maintenance and upgrade!
